Happy Federal Holiday

CHRISTMAS

I hope everyone had a wonderful Federal holiday we call Christmas Day. This is the time we celebrate Jesus Christ as the King of the United States of America. http://www.daveblackonline.com/no_king_but_king_jesus.htm. It is unfortunate most of us are too preoccupied with exchanging gifts (especially when most of those gifts are made in Red China), having a party, and drinking to excess rather than thanking God for sending His Son to save us from our sins.

I remember when I was in the Worldwide Church of God--we were forbidden to celebrate Christmas. One of the ministers told us that whenever someone wished him a Merry Christmas, his response would be, "Don't drink too much."

GOOD FRIDAY AND EASTER SUNDAY

Secural evolutionists say that faith and science don't mix. When it comes to Good Friday and Easter Sunday, they have a point. Jesus is claimed to have been crucified and died on Good Friday and then three days and three nights later, He rose from the dead on Easter Sunday morning. There is no way you can figure three days and three nights from Good Friday to Easter Sunday.

I've always wondered why the Friday on which Jesus was scourged, crucified and put to death is called "Good" Friday. Nowhere in the Bible is this day called "good." The Bible and the movie industry calls it the Passion of Christ. We should call this day, "Passion Day" or "Crucifixion Day."

Easter is a pagan name of a pagan god. We need to change the name of this day to what it really stands for--Resurrection Day. I wish everyone a Cruxifixion Day and a Happy Resurrection Day.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers throughout America (and Canada).

This day, along with Father’s Day, was established to create more business for our merchants. But there’s a spiritual side to this holiday—God commands that we honor our fathers and mothers. And God gives us a promise when this commandment is obeyed--that you will live long in the land. Aside from our religious duty to honor our parents is the awesome responsibility that parenthood plays in our society. When I was in grammar school, we were taught that the education of a daughter in the family begins with the education of the mother—when she was a child. We need to be very careful how we train our young daughters. We want them to grow in the knowledge of God laws, and have respect for others.

MEMORIAL DAY
Memorial day was founded by the South to commemorate their fallen heros of the Civil War. For them, it was the only war they lost. Now, the rest of country celebrates this day in honor of all our fighting men and women who have fallen in battle, and also who have served their country. Since we lost the Vietnam War, I think this day should especially commemorate the veterans of that war. They get no parade, only one day. We remember you, American Vietnam Veterans. We honor you for your sacrifice.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY

Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers throught America (and Canada).

This day, along with Mother’s Day, was established to create more busines for our merchants. But there’s a spiritual side to this holiday-- God commands that we honor our fathers and mothers. And God gives us a promise when this commandment is obeyed--that you will live long in the land. I loved my mother more than I loved my father. My father would yell and hit us when my brothers and I were naughty. If we did something really bad, he would take his belt off and give us a whipping. There was also his cigarettes, which I didn’t like. One of the things that bonded us together was our love for the game of chess. He taught me how to play chess when I was seven or eight years old. I remember the first game I won from him. I told him where to move his man and he moved it so that I could capture it. He did that two or three times for me. When I won, I was so happy. It took me fifty years to realize that he let me win that game.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY

July 4, 2008 Friday. Happy Fourth of July to all my fellow Americans. We also call it Independence Day, but we’re not independent. We are dependent on OPEC oil and cheap Communist Red Chineses goods and services. Even most of the fireworks we are shooting off today are made in China. We are helping our enemies and hurting ourselves. It’s been said that in the next administration, US debt will be over $1 trillion dollars. Enjoy these national birthday parties while you can because we simply have no future. I don’t know how few more years God will give us.
